ADIL
ANNOUNCES STRONG FINANCIAL RESULTS AND PLANS TO
BUILD INTERNATIONAL LINKS DURING OFFSHORE EUROPE
ADIL,
the Aberdeen-based independent energy consultancy
focused on
development
and operations management support, has announced
strong financial results for 2011 so far, with
an expectation to almost triple its 2009 turnover.
The value of contract wins has also increased
by five-fold over the same period, from £3million
to £15million.
Over
the past two years the company has implemented
a strong growth strategy, resulting in an increase
in projected turnover from £4.5million in
2009 to £11.5million for the 2011 financial
year.
With
Offshore Europe bringing delegates from the global
energy community to Aberdeen, ADIL views the conference
as a key event at which to build overseas links
and secure both local and international business
opportunities.
ADIL
has continued to expand since its inception in
2006; staff numbers in the last year alone have
risen from around 30 employees to close to 100
in order to support the demand for the company’s
field development projects and consultancy work.
An
investment in excess of £1.2million has
also been made into the provision of new offices
and IT systems in Aberdeen in addition to the
establishment of a London office. Since 2009,
ADIL has secured contract wins in excess of £15million,
covering more than eight projects in the UKCS
that range from subsea tie-backs to a full green-field
development West of Shetland.
Further
development is expected over the next two years,
with focus on growing the company’s operations
and improvement capability and its London base
in addition to expanding its overseas connections.
Personnel are currently supporting projects with
work in the Netherlands, Romania, China and the
Middle East.
ADIL’s managing director, James Paton, said:
“We have seen a renewed confidence in the
oil and gas industry in the last two years and
while ADIL performed better than expected in 2009,
I am delighted with the substantial increase in
projected turnover for 2011 and the increased
business opportunities that are coming our way.
“We
have a great client base and are looking to build
on these existing connections, making new contacts
at Offshore Europe and beyond as we look to ramp-up
our activity further throughout the remainder
of the year and into 2012. The significant growth
in the value of contract wins is a testament to
both our market-leading position and ability to
provide a consistent and proven service to the
energy industry.
“We
have found that there is an international demand
for our services, which include business management
systems, supply chain and project services, positioning
ADIL for future growth. These services are all
transportable to new clients and geographical
areas and we look forward to achieving our goals
of expansion and internationalisation.”
